On Wednesday, Sept. 20th, the New London Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their monthly Business Briefing / networking session at 8 a.m. in the chapel at St. Joseph Residence (Please Park on Road).  Join the Chamber for this exciting networking opportunity open to all Chamber members.  These sessions are held the third Wednesday of each month. On Sunday, Sept. 24th, The Waters Supper Club & Lounge will host their annual bicycle tour on the new trail on Hwy. 54.  Sign up by 10:15 a.m. at the Waters on Sept. 24th.  Cost is $10.00 per adult and $5.00 for kids.   All the proceeds go to the trail to finish bringing it into New London.  Also a chance to win prizes. On Saturday, Sept. 30th, Mosquito Hill Fall FUNdraiser from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. features Barbeque, Games and Raffles.  The grill is hot and the drinks are cold! This family-friendly event will feature live music, guided nature hikes, back yard games and delicious concessions by Hillbilly Bob's Barbeque of New London.

On Sunday, Oct. 1st, Emanuel's Harvest Fest & Ladies' Aide Bazaar hosted by Emanuel Lutheran Church, at 200 E. Quincy St, New London. Free Tailgate meal and festivities are open the the community beginning at 10:00 a.m. Festivities will also include hayrides, face painting, two bouncy houses, petting zoo, vintage farm machinery demonstrations, fall crafting, and hot cocoa & s'mores by the fire. It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, and lots of creative fun thrown in. On Saturday, Oct. 14th, Heroes Running for Atlas will have their Benefit 5K Run/Walk at Hatten Park from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Atlas was born June 24th, 2016 and has been diagnosed with Pompe Disease, a very rare disease that affects his heart and muscles. At this time there is no cure for Pompe Disease, so Atlas has to fight harder than the average child. On Saturday, Oct. 14th, Mosquito Hill Nature Center will host their 15th annual Harvest Moon Festival from 5 – 9 p.m.  Don’t miss the family event of the season! As the full moon rises behind Mosquito Hill, jack-o-lanterns will smile, hayride wagons will be filled with fresh straw and the center will be visited by live critters. The evening will be filled with stargazing through telescopes, hayrides, the Great Pumpkin Walk learning sessions, games and much more. On Friday, Dec. 1st, the New London Parks and Recreation Department will be offering the 2017 Reindeer Run / Walk in conjunction with the Holiday of Wonder event.  This 1 mile run / walk starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Ignite Practice Facility (300 Wolf River Plaza).  Check in and day of registration starts at 4:30 p.m. at the Washington Center Gym.  All ages are welcome and strollers are invited.  Everyone is encouraged to wear imaginative & fun holiday attire.  The run / walk will follow the parade route prior to the start of the parade and will finish at the end of the parade route where you can enjoy the parade and downtown Holiday of Wonder.  The entry fee is $10.00.  Registration is available online at www.newlondonwi.org, by calling the New London Parks & Recreation Dept. at (920) 982-8521 or by mailing a registration form to 215 N. On Saturday Mar. 17th, the Shamrock Club of New Dublin will host the St. Patrick’s Day Grand Parade at 1p.m.in downtown New Dublin.  Wisconsin’s largest St. Patrick’s Day parade includes an extensive lineup of bagpipe and marching bands, festive clowns, specialty units, clans, business floats and more – up to 125 units or more.  Prizes are awarded for the best entries.  View the Parade Route.  New Dublin Irish Fest will be held downtown under a huge heated tent by Festival Foods from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and will feature the following entertainment: Sheamus Fitzpatrick and the McNally Boys from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Reilly from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  In addition, there will be Irish food, beverages, and market booths.  Entrance to Irish Fest is $5.00 for the day.

On Wednesday, Apr. 11th, the New London Public Library will hold Babygarten from 11 – 11:30 a.m.  Babygarten has lively, interactive stories, songs and activities for creepers, crawlers, walkers and talkers that will encourage early language and literacy development. On Wednesday, Apr. 11th, Mosquito Hill Nature Center will be holding a Fox Valley Memory Café from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.  The Fox Valley Memory Cafés welcome those experiencing early stage dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, as well as family and friends of those affected. It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, and lots of creative fun thrown in.
