On Thursday, Jan. 18th, join us at the 12th Annual Music Trivia Challenge brought to you by the Quiver n' Minnow, First State Bank, Yo DJ Entertainment and the New London Area Chamber of Commerce.  The evening at the Quiver n' Minnow will begin with beverages and hors d'oeurves from 5 - 6 p.m. with the music trivia challenge beginning at 6 p.m.  Have you ever wanted to be the next Jukebox Hero?  Here’s your chance!  All that is required for the Music Trivia Challenge is a team of 4 – 6 players.   Fill out the bottom of this form to enter.  Pre – register by calling the Chamber office at (920) 982-5822, emailing your team information to Karen@NewLondonChamber.com, or fax it to the Chamber office at (920) 982-6344.  Any New London Chamber member, their employees or spouses are welcome to play.  There will be a variety of music played from different eras.  Be creative; there will be an award given to the team with the most “team spirit”.  This is a test of the participant’s musical knowledge, the use of smart phones (or any technology) during the competition to research song titles and / or artists will not be permitted. The special traveling trophy will be awarded to the team with the most musical knowledge / luck at the end of the game.  The winner can proudly display the trophy at their place of business.  The trophy is currently held by the “Money for Nothin” from First State Bank.     For more information on the Music Trivia Challenge, please call us at (920) 982-5822.

It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, and lots of creative fun thrown in. On Saturday Mar. 17th, the Shamrock Club of New Dublin will host the St. Patrick’s Day Grand Parade at 1p.m.in downtown New Dublin.  Wisconsin’s largest St. Patrick’s Day parade includes an extensive lineup of bagpipe and marching bands, festive clowns, specialty units, clans, business floats and more – up to 125 units or more.  Prizes are awarded for the best entries.  View the Parade Route.  New Dublin Irish Fest will be held downtown under a huge heated tent by Festival Foods from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and will feature the following entertainment: Sheamus Fitzpatrick and the McNally Boys from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Reilly from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.  In addition, there will be Irish food, beverages, and market booths.  Entrance to Irish Fest is $5.00 for the day.

On Wednesday, Apr. 11th, Mosquito Hill Nature Center will be holding a Fox Valley Memory Café from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.  The Fox Valley Memory Cafés welcome those experiencing early stage dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, as well as family and friends of those affected. It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, and lots of creative fun thrown in. A fun time for all, you are invited to enjoy the camaraderie and the beautiful Wolf River in New London. The weekend features musical entertainment, a food tent with the popular “Buffalo Burgers”, as well as hamburgers, hot dogs, beer, and soda. The Grand Raffle will have thousands of dollars of great prizes and features an ATV winch and trailer package.
